The Night Edition is a factory-installed option package for the Ram 1500, sales code ASH. It replaces chrome and brightwork with black and body-color finishes, including a black "Ram" grille badge, black grille surround, black headlamp and tail lamp bezels, black exterior badging and dual exhaust with black tips. It also adds wheels, upgraded power mirrors, black interior accents and an anti-spin differential rear axle.

The Night Edition package is sales code ASH. You will see it listed with the other options on the window sticker of any Ram 1500 built with the package.

The Laramie package has 25 items and the Big Horn package has 22. Laramie adds the Sport Performance hood, 22-inch forged aluminum wheels, mirror memory, mirror approach lamps and proximity approach and departure lamps. Big Horn uses a black mesh grille surround with 20-inch aluminum painted clad wheels and 275/55R20 OWL all-season tires.

Both packages use body-color bumpers. The Sport Appearance Package keeps a chrome "Ram" grille badge with a body-color grille surround. The Night Edition switches to a black badge and black grille surround, blacks out the headlamp and tail lamp bezels and exterior badging, and adds wheels, black exhaust tips and an anti-spin differential rear axle.

The package is mainly appearance focused, but it does include an anti-spin differential rear axle for better traction. Engine output, towing and payload are determined by the trim, powertrain, axle ratio and configuration. The 2027 Ram 1500 tows up to 11,530 lbs with the Hurricane S/O engine and up to 11,370 lbs with the 5.7L HEMI eTorque when properly equipped.

Yes. The 5.7L HEMI V8 makes 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, and Night Edition trucks are commonly built with it. On 2027 models, HEMI-equipped Night Edition trucks also get a satin black HEMI fender badge.

Early 2027 production includes a limited number of trucks with the 5.7L HEMI eTorque mild hybrid. Ram is phasing eTorque out during the model year in favor of a non-eTorque 5.7L HEMI, which also drops automatic stop-start. Diamond Black gives the most complete blacked-out look, while Bright White, Molten Red and Hydro Blue create bold contrast with the black trim. For 2027, Tank is available with the Night Edition, and Goldilocks is planned with late availability.
